I'll check that if this print fails. I had re-written the gcode yesterday using the latest version of S3D in case they changed/optimized something...

I do notice that S3D hangs while it is writing the file to disk. Once it is complete, the UI becomes responsive...I wash thinking it was a threading issue in their UI...

Thanks!

I've had a print simply stop again while disconnected from USB...

This file was supposed to take 5+hrs (based on S3D). It ran for a few and when I came back the bed was lowered and the print had stopped...

The enclosure temperature was 82 degrees.

The file seems to be complete from what I can tell.

I'm not sure what to do here, or what to try or how to debug...

Try taking it out of the enclosure. (next logical thing to check)

I know this sounds backwards but have you tried just printing from S3D and not using the SD card? Least this way you can see whats going on in the log when it stops.

Is the print head parked in the home position when you come back and notice the print stop?

Sounds to me like the rambo is resetting. That may be from heat or loose connection. Since many people have their m2 in an enclosure i would bet its not heat related.

No, I haven't done that since the early days of S3D and the M2..but am willing to try if need to...

I like the sound of it simply being a loose connection! Any thoughts of where they typically are that cause a reset? (at the board? at the extruders?)

Okay I just watched this happen again on a 2hr print...

The printer just stopped in place. The extruder was over the print itself. After a few moments the bed lowered (kinda like when you do the S3D Bed Leveling wizard and it times out)...

S3D was still connected this time, but I could not find any way to see what is going on...

The temp in the case was 86 degrees...The doors were closed...

I'm printing again with the door open...

This is becoming concerning....

Jim: I did check that the harness was fully plugged into the RAMBO, and it was...

In the machine control panel (ctrl P) what does it say the communications tab when it stops printing?
