Hi, my printer has a single V4 hot end and according to makergear, the max temp is 290c. I understand that the thermistor is a limitation and I have a PT100 which I plan to install. Besides the thermistor, what is limiting the max temperature? I have heard that there is some type of liner but I cannot find specifics. I have an E3Dv6 sitting around and I may switch back to that but I am curious about what the V4 can do. I print a lot of nylon and petg mechanical devices and I am interested in more industrial plastics like PEEK. Thanks.

Well there have been some guys talk about this in the forums before. I dont know if any one actually tried. I would contact Makergear and get one of the all metal hot ends. You have to request them.

I dont know what the max temp you could run at but based on the design Im guessing well north of 400. You should be able to print untll the wires seperate.

I have a used all-metal V4 which I'd be more than happy to trade for your used PTFE V4.
