Started up my machine for the day; got the heat started, and heard a buzz sound. Looked up real fast and saw sparks coming from heated end. Before I could hit the my fans stopped working.
Turned the machine off as fast as I could; unplugged the hotend. I am not sure if the sparks were from the heater or thermostat, but definitely came from that area.
Now machine will not turn on, fans don't start, wont connect, etc
I checked the fuse in the pc board, it does not seem shorted out!
I have submitted a support request but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas?
Did my board just short out?
Re: Did my board just short out?
There are three fuses on the board did you check them all? .
If it started as a hotend issue and the fans stopped working F3 is where I'd look first.

But also why did the hot end do that? It is actually pretty new
My original hot end just had the thermostat piece come out completely; how do I reinstall that?
