Home Z moves the plate the opposite direction

Post by cooolor » Tue Oct 04, 2016 10:51 pm

I just swapped the board (due to a faulty USB connector). Everything seems to be ok, except when I try to Home All (via Simplify3D), the bed goes down while homing the Z axis. It's obviously reversed - do you have an idea where to look first? Attached communication screenshots. On the board - LED 5 blinks red on start, then turns off. LED09 is blinking orange. LED07 is green. is Thanks a lot!

Did you use the correct firmware for whichever machine you have? (The new Rev.E machines home Z at the bottom.)

I would check the firmware first.

If you have the correct firmware, then you need to check the wiring of the Z motor. You may have the plug reversed. But as noted, you want to make sure the firmware is correct first.

if the plug is reversed you can see thins if you jog the z axis. it will move opposite of what its supposed to. if it jogs correct but homes to the bottom then you have rev e firmware. if you have a rev e machine then this is the correct way it should be. if you do not then you need the correct firmware for the machine.
