SD Card reader on printer not working

I own an M2 Rev. E and have been printing without major issues for ~4 months now. Currently, the SD card reader on printer is not working. All other parts of printer seem to work (I can connect it manually to a computer, and from the computer move tray in all axes, and extrude filament). I have confirmed SD card itself to be working (I can move files on and off the card when it's plugged into the computer). Is there a diagnostic test I can use to determine what the problem might be with the SD reader? I currently use Slic3R, and am not sure what printing options I would have without an SD card reader or paid slicing software.

Can't help with the SD card problem, because I've never printed from an SD card.
Pronterface, a GPL Free Software program, does everything I need done for printer control:

Source code & links to precompiled binaries (the way to go for Windows):
https://github.com/kliment/Printrun
I run Linux, which eliminates all the "My USB connection stopped working" problems that seem common to Windows and, in particular, Windows 10.
Your mileage may vary. Enlarged to show texture. Contents may settle during shipment. Etc, etc...

I had the same problem about one month after purchasing the M2. After speaking with maker gear via email, they rushed me out the new SD card which I installed. This solved the problem.
