Can't get print to start on my LCD screen

Post by Jboarder7 » Tue Dec 27, 2016 12:42 am

Hello I am new to this forum using a Rev. E printer. I recently purchased an lcd screen and now I'm trying to get it set up. I have everything working and I can go through the menu screens but when I try to print with it it just shows what file I'm trying to print and it doesn't do anything just sits there. I can manually jog the motors and toggle fans heat ect just won't print.

Hi Jboarder,

Welcome to the forum! It seems that not many people are using the LCD screen upgrade. My LCD with the Rev E printer is pretty slow, but it sounds like yours is actually freezing. The way it should work is:
1. Select Print from SD
2. Select the file you want. It will return to the home screen and show the name of that file at the bottom of the screen, but just for a split second. Then the text should change to "Heating..." or "Bed Heating".
3. After the "preheat" is complete it should start printing.

Can you post a picture (or even better, video) of the problem?
