PETG Filament Drive S3D Settings

Post by CCRN » Sun Mar 26, 2017 4:33 pm

Hello,

I am working on printing a filament drive with eSun PETG in black using S3D. I am wondering what the suggested settings for the drive are for infill, top, bottom, and outline layer count are. Is 3 top and bottom, 2 outline ok? I am using Jules PETG setting per her instruction thread.

I am not sure it needs 100% infill, maybe 65-75%. I am generating support but only using them for the 90 degree areas where there is considerable bridging.

Thank you,

Jerold

Take a look at the preview....i think I limited it to one outline because some of the little circular areas worked better with it - but otherwise those are good settings and setting the manual support is a must. (S3D really overdoes it on that file.)

I modified mine a bit ... I don't have the hook at the bottom because of how I route my wiring.
I print mine upside down from that. Makes for cleaner innards and less support overall.
