Makergear M2 Quickstart software Quitting!

I am printing the Baby Groot Model http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2014307
I am using Simplify3D and then Makergear M2 Quickstart software to do the printing. I get about 1/3 way through the print (7 hours) and the M2 Quickstart software quits.
Is there any way to resume the print?
Why does it randomly quit?

I am using a mac v 10.10.1, I bought the printer a couple of weeks ago works fine otherwise.

I'm using Hatchbox Red PLA 1.75 and the prints are perfect but the software quitting is killing me.
