Maximum Filament Retract Speed?

Post by Gwhite » Tue Aug 01, 2017 3:33 pm

I have an M2E. I'm assuming it's already set to the maximum in the Simplify3D profile (2400 mm/min), but I was wondering if that the top speed is for retraction? I'm fighting blobs with PETG, and one issue is that it's oozing a bit. I've been playing with retraction distance, coast, wipe, etc., but I just want to make sure I'm already retracting as fast as I can.

Thanks!

I retract 1mm @ 4500mm/min. You could probably push that to 5600mm/min if you retracted 0.6mm.

Thanks! Sounds like I have plenty of room to experiment with going faster. One more variable added to the optimization problem...
