Stainless Steel v4 Nozzles not magnetic

Post by aerodan » Thu Nov 16, 2017 1:39 am

Hi Folks,

I ordered and have been using the upgrade Stainless Steel v4 nozzles (.50) for my M3. Question: Why aren't they magnetic? It's stainless steel, which should be... no?

Many thanks,

Wow, totally non ferric stainless?! Of all the furniture, gun barrels, nuts, bolts and misc stuff over the years these are the first I've encountered. Pretty cool.

I ask since one of my designs has magnets at the base and we were puzzled that they didn't react to the tips.

Thanks for the info on this!

It depends; some is, some is not. Some can be cold-worked to make it magnetic.
