i have a same question so i copy this topic again

Hey guys. On my Rev E. My fan motors will turn on and off every few seconds, for a second. Is this normal for the Rev. E? Or is there a loose wire somewhere I need to check. Thanks

Can't say for sure without looking at it and sticking a voltmeter on it, but especially if you are talking about the two 12V fans (electronics board enclosure and extruder motor fan), they're wired in series, and any problem with either fan motor can cause them to go into oscillations like you're describing. Cooling fans are cheap and cheaply made, and I've found that they don't last very long. Most likely you need to replace one of the fans, but probably most convenient just to replace both of them rather than try to figure out which one of them is causing the problem.

As I said, can't be completely certain it's the fan itself that's the problem, but I'd give it a 90% chance or higher of being the fan.
