MINTEMP triggered

Hi guys
I've been using my makergear M2 for several years. It's been great except for the POS plastic extruder mount the breaks periodically. Recently I moved to a new location and it got bumped around more then usual. The plastic extruder mount is broken ofcoarse but this time I'm also getting the mintemp error. The extruder is reading 000/000 degrees, build platform is reading fine. Below is the blurb I get in Pronterface.

I've retraced all the wiring connections and nothing appears to be unplugged or out of place. Did something finally die on the Rambo board? I understand new upgrades have come out in the years since I bought this but I'd rather not throw money at the problem right now if I don't have to.

Any ideas?

Replace the thermistor cartridge. It has extremely fine wires and they've broken.

Ok I'm going to purchase the thermistor at the above link and give an update after the install. Thanks for your help.

If you still get a MINTEMP error after replacing the thermistor on your hotend, then it is probably your extruder harness.
Do you have a V4 hotend? If so, you may want to upgrade to the metal motor mount.

I'm having the same problem. I replaced the whole hot end but still getting the MINTEMP error. I have a V4 with the metal motor mount. How can I confirm it's the extruder harness?

To test your harness try the following:

Heat your hotend to print temperature.
While watching your temperature plot, move the extruder assembly back and forth by hand.
You are looking for large temperature fluctuations.
If that happens, then the harness is the most likely culprit for your MINTEMP error.

A large temperature fluctuation, perhaps something like that?
I think we caught it. Thanks! Buying a replacement now...
