Hi and thanks in advance!
I am trying to remove the nozzle to clean out a clog (I use ABS plastic). I have removed the hot end. However, when I attempt to unscrew the nozzle, the nozzle and barrel spin together inside of the hot end and I make no progress. Because the barrel is so round and smooth, I haven't found anything to hold it still so that I can unscrew the nozzle.
Advice?
Thanks

I am not positive but you may need a new hot end...
Re: attempting nozzle removal - barrel spins
May be a late reply: but there is a allen screw hole at the back of the hot end. You can use that to hold it in place. The hot end is actually 5 parts:
1. Aluminium bloc
2. Barrel
3. Nozzle
4. Cartridge Heater
5. Thermocouple
On thing though: do not torch the barrel even if it is clogged. There must be a surface treatment in there. I did it once and it took me about 2 full days before figuring out the barrel was my issue: all filament jams in there after about five minutes of printing because I used a torch to unclog it.
