Nozzle Has a Gap/Not Flush with Heater Block

New to MakerGear and looking forward to using my new printer. I changed out the default .35mm nozzle with a .75 nozzle. However, I noticed that there's a gap between the new .75 nozzle and the heater block whereas the out of the box .35mm nozzle was flush with the heater block (see photo showing the gap 
). Is this normal? It seems like the heat transfer would be lower if there's a gap. I measured the inside threads, and the .75mm nozzles seem to be about .17mm shallower than the .35mm nozzles which would explain the difference. Note I have two .75mm nozzles and they both have this issue. Obviously I don't want to over tighten the nozzles and the gap is large enough that I don't believe I can close it anyway. Any help or guidance is appreciated.
