Hello,
I'm the happy owner of a M3ID. Recently, the right X pulley begun to make noise when moving.
As the noise disappeard when I push on the belt, I think that should be more stretched.
Could you please explain how doing that.
Thanks
Best regards

Adjusting belt tension is pretty easy.
Loosen the mounting screws on the X/Y motor.
Pull the motor tight, retighten the screws.

Hello,
thanks for your answer.
Actually, I was looking for a way to move the motor (and adjust the belt tension) with the right strength.
Some 3D printers use an adjustment screw, other use a spring to have the right tension.
Thanks for your help.

Nothing like that here. Just loosen all 4 M3 screws holding the motor to the mount and gently pull the motor to put tension on the belt. I don't have a way to convey how tight I have it. One thing I check is if I grab he extruder and manually move back and forth a few inches quickly I make sure there is now slack showing up in the back side belt when direction changes.. not sure that will make sense but if you loosen the belt and do that while watching the belt you will see what I mean. Too tight and you can warp the gantry over time.
