I was traveling for a couple of weeks and the M3 was on for the whole time in my basement. Today, I was not able to make the connection from my browser and observed that the fan was not turning. There was no ping reply. After power cycling and pushing the reset button, the fan didn't start, but there were some ping replies. Min was 14 ms and max was 1426 ms.

What steps, I can take to evaluate the situation further?

did you find the solution to your problem? I'm having a similar problem and i'm having no luck.
