F3 fuse blows when heat to the extruder is turned on

I have a M2 dual extruder that has been working perfectly until this week when the F3 fuse blew a few days ago. The replacement fuses also kept blowing, and I found that the fuse blows when I turn the heat on to the extruder, effectively killing the printer since it cuts power to the logic. The bed heater, control features, and fans all work without issue. Has anyone had this problem, or does anyone have an idea why the fuse keeps blowing when the heat to the extruder is turned on?

Short someplace, I would trace the wires or look up the pin out in the M2 docs, disconnect the connector from the main board and check the circuit with an Ohm Meter. If it is showing no resistance (shorted), unplug the hot end and see if it goes to open. If it does you have a bad heater element if not you have a short in the wiring harness.

I'd put money on that … [grin]
