Grinding/high tension on the Y belt.

Post by aiden » Thu Apr 16, 2020 10:40 pm

Hi All,

I am having some issues with the M2 printer. My Y-axis(bed) is very difficult to move. I don't know if it is because of belt tension or if it is something else. Please let me know if you have any ideas to solve this issue thanks!

loosen the 4 screws holding the motor to the frame so you can remove the belt. The bed should slide smoothly.. if it does not, take further action to remove the glass and heater to gain access to the bearing.. You can also call tech support for help. If the bed slides fine you could have a bad bearing on the idler end of the belt or a bad motor..
