Not sure I'm out of the woods quite yet, I've been trying stuff in the beginner's guide pretty much all day. But so far I'm finally able to have something start to print in the right direction.

I've changed so many things today, but the most recent that seem to be making a positive impact are that I lessened the tension on my filament guide. I also noticed that my extruder seems to pivot a little, so I straightened that back to a better positions.

If your extruder is pivoting, that is a bad sign. Make sure it isn't cracked, and it is seated properly and all the screws are secure.

Post a photo of the cracked part, you might need to replace it.

Well, I can't see either of those photos....me and Dropbox do not see eye to eye.

Try uploading it to the forum using the Upload Attachment tab right next to the Options tab below, when you are typing a reply. I'm trying to see which part has broken so we can tell you what part you need to order from MakerGear.

When posting dropbox links, you need to provide a "public" link, which means it needs to come from your Public folder, or another folder that you have marked as public.

You can usually glue a broken extruder back together using superglue or two part epoxy long enough for you to print out a replacement in ABS or PETG. Or you can email makergear for a replacement if you are under warranty, which I think you are.

Yes, that's your motor mount....they do sometimes crack. (Haven't seen one crack quite that thoroughly though. 8-) ) They can replace that.

(A lot of us print our own replacement mounts out of PETG or PC once we get a little proficient with the machines - at higher infill, they're just about indestructible. Or MakerGear now offers a thinner metal mount guaranteed not to break. (Last month or so.)

Bad luck, but totally fixable! :(
