Exotic Filament nozzle?

I've had my M2 for a while, and I've only printed in PLA so far. I want to try some ABS, but I'm also interested in trying some of the more exotic filaments like metal, wood, and carbon fiber. To get started with that, am I ok with the V4 nozzle from MakerGear or should I look into a different option? I've seen mention on the great wide interwebs of using hardened or plated nozzles for those types of filaments. Is there an "official" word from MakerGear?

For the metal filaments, you can use a stainless steel nozzle if you are printing a lot of it. (Holds up better to wear.) But for occasional use, the standard nozzle works fine, and is fine for the others.

Is there a downside to the stainless nozzle? They're both (Brass or Stainless) $10 through the MakerGear store.

Not that I know of....I have one but haven't needed to use it yet. (you don't go changing out nozzles if you don't need to - it takes time) :)

Thanks! That makes two of my topics you've answered. My appreciation to you and the pensive hedgehog. :)

Chuckle! My pleasure! (And he's perpetually peeved, not pensive.)
