Recommended Spares

Post by fes » Sat Oct 08, 2016 3:08 am

Hi,

I'm getting ready to purchase my first M2.
Since the postage to my country is very expensive (a single nozzle would be $85US! ), I would like to try to purchase everything I need in one go.
In addition to the M2, what would be recommended as the required spares / extras?

Spare parts set?
Nozzles? What size? just the 0.35mm? and how many?
Anything else?

Thanks in advance.

1. Get several extra nozzles (3 is good). If you plan to do detailed work, get a couple of 0.25 mm nozzles as well as a couple of spare 0.35 mm nozzles.
2. The spare parts set is good for those overseas.....it contains all of the parts that can wear out with time.
3. Get at least one spare borosilicate glass plate.
4. Not a bad idea to pick up a couple of the motor parts - the pinion gear is cheap, but they do wear out eventually. (And a spare drive gear wouldn't hurt.)

That ought to take care of any contingencies. :D

Thanks Jules,

I have already ordered a MIC6/PEI build plate from Insta.
Would I still be likely to need a spare glass plate?
