Sweet, also what is Bed Temperature suppose to be at for ninja flex as well as extrusion multiplier (for flow rate control). I would assume very low multiplier (maybe 25%?)

These guys know what they are doing with NinjaFlex!

You don't want to be messing with the extrusion multiplier. I don't think it does what you think it does. It controls the rate of flow per length of line extruded. If you set it to 25%, you will get a reedy trickle and you will end up with a diaphanous spider web. Slowing down the print speed slows down the extrusion rate in proportion to the speed.

JSC was definitely right. Printed a small piece with the 25% extrusion multiplier... very thin spinder webs . I put it back to 90% and it looks immensely better and extrudes as i would imagine it would now. Is it possible to do support with ninja flex? Anyone know?

i have not tried support with it nor would i want to. retraction and ooze control dont work well with it so every jump is stringy as hell and leaves a blob after every travel move. i can take a guess on the support thing though and say it would probably not work without fully bonding to the model. when that stuff is hot it sooooo sticky it will bond to just about anything.

Only way to get support would be a dual extruder then?

I actually printed a part with support on NinjaFlex. It looked like hammered dogcrap but the support mostly tore away.

Bluesoulx12, use an extrusion multiplier of 1.20 for NinjaFlex, and slow your printing speed down to 20mm/sec print speeds with all underspeed modifiers at 100%. Set travel at 200mm/sec. Set the head to 250C and use a 0.2mm layer height.

Tried the new settings. The only problem is for thin walled parts if it messes up the edge of a cylindrical piece (Picture a half pipe), the rest will follow with it until it eventually corrects itself maybe 15 layers up. Other than that everything else looks solid! Any recommendations for edges? Especially when it cant support those edges.

actually yes. ninjaflex gets softer the warmer it gets so i start at layer 1 with the bed at 80 then layer 2 shut the bed totally off and turn the cooling fan on. this will keep the ninjaflex as rigid as possible so it can stack extrusions one on top of the other. keeps that thin wall from moving around so much. its not guaranteed not to screw up but it does help alot.

Turned off the bed as you suggested and didn't run the fan (I have it pointed at the extruder) and it actually produced a pretty much flawless piece. I am actually very impressed on these refined settings. I did however set the layer height to 0.15 mm. Immensely happy with the results. You guys are the best as per usual!
