Just thought I would throw this out there for all the rhino users. An automated plugin for creating bolts, studs, and thread cutters for your models. I have found this to be an awesome plugin that I cannot live without.

Wow, thank you! I was just going to ask last week how you guys were generating threads, then got busy and forgot.

Does ESP run in your family tree? (Chuckle!)

The female threads turn out great in a through or blind hole. If you make bolts or studs I have had to run a die down them first. Maybe if I fiddle with the settings I can get a good bolt. Lol Definite time saver .

Fusion 360 just had an update this week, now you can import all McMaster-Carr parts. In other news, McMaster-Carr has 3D models of everything! In all the major neutral formats, plus SolidWorks. You can find them under Product Details.

I looked a few seconds at fusion and decided I need to finish learning one software before taking on another . That is awesome though and may have to rethink it.

What I meant to impart in the second half of my comment is that you do not need to be using Fusion to use McMaster-Carr parts. The models are available for download from their web site, on each product detail page. Fusion only makes the process of importing a part very easy.

O.M.G!!!!!! They've got the downloads in STEP format, which Rhino opens - Wow! That is going to save a TON of time!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :D Between the plugin to create the holes and the actual files for the hardware, this is going to be so much easier!

(So glad I checked the boards today....you fellas are "da bomb!")
