I use McMaster a lot for work. For products without a model listed on the page if you shoot them an email there is usually a model sitting in your inbox in under 15 minutes.

One time I accidentally put the wrong part on an order, which I realized about 20 minutes after I submitted it. I called to modify the order but it had already shipped

Those guys are amazing.

I downloaded, placed the file in the Rhino plugins folder, and ran tools/options/plugins. Boatmen does not show up to select and install even though I have display all selected.

Any ideas what I'm not doing?

I believe it is a Windows thing blocking installation. I remember reading something about it. I will try to find it and drop a link here .

http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/unblockplugin. This was it worked for me. I usually just type boltgen in command bar to open it.

Interesting. I just tried to install the BoltGen plug-in and ran into the same problem (Windows 7 64bit). I tried the unblock recommendation (didn't work at first - had to change security flags on the BoltGen.rhp file - then the unblock worked). On my system there is a Rhinocheros 5 directory under "C:\Program Files" and "C:\Program Files(x86)", so I placed the plug-in file in both directory locations.

When I run Rhino as Administrator the BoltGen plug-in does not show up in the ..\Tools\Options\Plug-ins(All Plug-ins) list. Same reaction with 32 and 64 bit.

I'm trying BoltGen version 1.77.

Anyone have this version running with Windows 7 64bit and Rhino 5?

Larry

I have it running on windows 8.1 64 bit version. I honestly can't remember exactly what I did but I know it was tied to the permissions and I had to do it slightly different than the linked article.

Well, I'm not sure why it doesn't work as documented, but I did find a way to make it work.

This is what worked for me.
Windows 7 64 bit

1) Copy the BoltGen.rhp file into the Rhino 5 Plug-ins directory.
2) Change file permissions to Full Control for the user logged in (I changed it for all users).
3)Unblock the file as per instructions here http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/unblockplugin
4)Navigate to the Rhino Plug-ins directory -- right click on the BoltGen.rhp file and select "Load Plug-in in Rhinoceros 5 (64-bit)"

Rhino 5 will launch and the plug-in will have been installed.
