Slicing help??

Post by jereywolf » Sat May 02, 2015 6:28 pm

So here is the model that I'm trying to print. I made this model in Solidworks.

Here is the model in S3D.

This is what I get after slicing it.

And here is the pint that I had to stop after I got a build-up on the nozzle.

I tried to use netfabb to repair the model (just to see it that would help) and kept getting an out of memory error.
I don't think there is an issue with my model. I made it all with solid geometry.

If you have any suggestions or would like to try it yourself I can send you the .stl. (it's a large file and wouldn't upload here easily.)

Are you sure those bumps aren't hollow on the inside?

After reading your response, I thought about the way that I built the file. It was exported from a Solidworks assembly and every single feature was a separate body. I went back to the model and combined everything into a single body and the preview looks spot on now. Thank you jsc! :D
