I ran some longer prints through it that I've timed in the past and.....

Results
S3D Estimate: 8:43
Marlin Time Estimate: 10:55:50 s
Actual Printing Time: 11:07:29

This thing is pretty impressive, this needs to be a stand alone program if it isn't already. :D

Remember, it doesn't take into account heat up time, so if your actual printing time is inclusive of bed/extruder heat, it will be even closer to accurate.

It IS a standalone program. See the link in the first post for more info. Maybe I will see if I can do a Windows build for y'all.

Okay, that was way more painful than it needed to be, but try this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/384 ... imator.exe

Run it from a command shell: gcode-estimator file.gcode

Just tried it on a print. Estimate: 02:23:10, actual: 02:23:32 (bed and extruder preheated). S3D estimate 1:25.

I thought I was somewhat computer literate :? but ... what does this mean "Run it from a command shell: gcode-estimator file.gcode"?

It is a command line program. Windows-r, cmd, enter.
