oh i see this is the first few layers. you cant really go by that since the actual extrusion width of the first prob 8-10 layers can be affected by the first layer height/bed gap. if your a little too big then it will give you what you see there. on another topic, i just got done burning through 6 spools of pla+ on a project. i started out at 220 and found that was too high. i am running it at 195 and still get solid layer bonding. prints come out cleaner and it bridges much better.

First layer is actually quite a bit better than that top layer - it's actually degrading as it goes up. On a single .30mm layer (100% height/width) I'm measuring about .27-28mm high, and the reason I can't see daylight through the entire 'mesh' is because that has squished the lines together in all but a couple spots..

just by looking at that pic i would say your just under extruding. make sure your filament dia is set right. i know on my profile, if i have the dia set right then the multiplier runs about 98.

But with my wall widths *slightly* over - that would indicate I'm pretty darn close, if not a bit over, would it not? I'm running .94 on the multiplier and I have the diameter set to 1.76mm as my measurements are running 1.75-1.77mm.

normally i would say yes BUT there is obvious underextruding going on. proof is in the pudding so they say. that infill is plainly showing that the extrusion width in real life isnt what the software thinks it is. bump it up to 98-1 and check it.

1.00 bottom (left in preview), 1.04 top (right in preview). ; :|

Wall thickness is ~.62mm bottom, ~.64mm top. I thought something went wrong but it did this twice in a row...

What is the ratio of width to height on your extrusion? (Should be 2 to 1).

well its getting better but the multiplier is getting a little high if the filament dia is set right. could be a partially clogged nozzle. you said you havent been printing pla until now which mean you were probably using a higher temp material that might not be completely purged from the nozzle because its not melted. just guessing at this point. i have had an under extrusion issue a long time ago which was just that. thats when i was running a v3b hot end though which was hard to get completely purged.

Yep! .30mm high, .60mm wide.

I was just thinking it could be a partial clog; I was wondering about the switch from higher to lower temp filament. Although, PET-G would ooze a bit at temps as low as 210 (I'd warm it up while the bed was heating, but not full temp). I did warm it up to 240 and ran 200mm of the PLA through though before this last test, but I suppose I should really pull the nozzle and clean it out to be sure. I may actually switch back to a .35mm while it's off so I can try out a known good set of settings (doesn't seem to be many .50mm users out there).

If you've got the ratio set correctly, it looks like the nozzle might be a little high....did you remember to reset the Z-Offset for PLA as opposed to PETG? (Which we tend to air print a little.)

Or maybe it's gotten a bit out of level.

And, you're printing white....which is a problem child. (slightly higher temp?/slower speed? needs more time to melt?)
