Before I looked at this post, I tried to setup latest Cura myself for M2 printer (older version, Rev D I believe). Everything seemed fine, but when I started printing from cura, it lifted the bed too high, the nozzle ripped the tape and started printing on glass. Not sure if it was trying to lift bed even more, but each following layer was printed on the glass- pushing the previous layer aside. Is it possible that I need to reverse Z axis direction?
With other SW/options everything works like a charm:
Used Repetier Host that used this latest Cura as slicer (I have set only build plate size, nozzle dia and temperatures) and printed directly from repetier Host-no issues. Also, I was able to make successful prints using Slic3r and M2 quick start, via Memory card. Also, used older Cura on another PC, also via mem card and M2 Quick Start.
Thanks, happy printing!

At some point, they reversed where the Z axis "home" position is located. On the Rev. E, the Z limit switch is with the platform all the way down. I'm not sure when they changed, but the older versions of the M2 had the Z limit switch at the top. It sounds like that's where your problem originates.

Hi, I was also wondering if anyone had a Cura profile for the more recent software. I have always been curious about the software but have not found anything that works yet. Thanks.

I have recently added your Cura profile but am unable to add a second extruder as I have a dual extruder setup. Any thought on how I might be able to add that? Thanks in Advance.

Do you have Cura working well for a single extruder? What version of M2 are you using, and which version of Cura? I've got a single extruder M2E that I'd love to get working with the latest version of Cura, which appears to be up to 4.2.1.

Thanks!

I had it working a bit ago but had such a big rush at work that I was not able to keep playing with it and now I am behind on the versions of Cura so I will have to restart again.

Hello all,
would love a config for Cura 4.3
I also think it's kind of hard that Utimaker doesn't provide the M2 in a preset.

Hi,
Thanks for your job.
I will be greatly interested by a Cura profile for my Makergear M3 ID.
I'm using the Cura slicer included in Octoprint as much as possible, but it is clearly less powerfull than a modern Cura.
Best regards
