It WAS.

It's now free for students, educators and "Enthusiasts" ... those who do not profit from their use of the software.

When I first tried Fusion 360, 3-4 years ago, it looked to me like a shallow, artsy way of making organic models with a klunky interface.

No longer true. Autodesk is pulling in features from Inventor, AutoCAD, and others, and with an improved interface. This offer strikes me as a very rare opportunity to ethically and legally have use of an excellent software package.

I'm not an Autodesk shill; I don't know anyone at Autodesk or its distributors.

I cant get the code to work on my already established account. Is there a special link I am missing? all I see from the link you provided is a video.

The following link, which I copied from my post above, works for me. Then run the video. At end of video is sign-up for the offer.

You'll need the codes:
fusion360jan2yr
fusion360jan1yr

Please let me know if it works for you.

Thanks Gary, the clicking the video at the end solved it. I was just trying to use the code in my software to buy.

I thought subscribe was like subscribe to a youtube channel.

Yep. "Subscribe" is ambiguous. "Rent", with annual improvements is more like it.
