Quick Start was running while the M2 was printing. However now I am loosing several prints after leaving my computer for a while and coming back to it later on. Once a keystroke is done the M2 stops printing and looses connection. I have had long prints interrupted as soon as the keyboard it used. I am 64bit Windows 10. Has anyone had this issue.

I print off of SD cards using the separate LCD display. If I leave my computer hooked up to the USB port on the printer (after changing filaments or some such) it will invariably crash a long print. ANY activity on the USB port will cause the printer to crash. If the computer goes to sleep, it will crash. If the computer does an update (thank you Microsoft...) it will crash. All sorts of thing can cause a crash. The only way I survive without constantly unplugging the USB cable is I put in a switch.

Before I run a print, I hit the button that switches to an empty port.

The most convenient way to set up your M2 is with octoprint on a raspberry pi. It will cost you about $100 and a little time to set it up but you will be able to access it from any computer in your network and you will not have any issues with stalled or stopping prints. SD card swapping gets to be a real pain and an LCD is about he same price and very limited compared to octoprint. I use S3D with octoprint even though it comes with cura.
The work flow is, slice on your pc, upload to the web interface of octoprint, and print. I went as far as hooking up an old unused monitor and usb keyboard and mouse so I have full access right next to the printer. Octoprint let you plug in a usb webcam and view your print job remotely as well.

I too use Octaprint with my M2. 100% good experience at least as far as getting the G-Code to the printer, monitoring progress from any computer in the house, and abiliity to stop the thing from anywhere if I see something I don't like.

I had hoped that MakerGear would have tuned up quick-start by now - last time I looked it was still Beta software. There are syntactical problems in its online nstructions, for example is it ok if there's a lot of space between the feeler and the nozzle, how do you select a reset of height without checking all the corners, how do you know when the corners are acceptable? etc etc.

It's true that it does work ok, and you can do a pretty accurate job of leveling and start height setting but even after a year of using it, I still don't really understand it.

If anyone from MakerGear is interested I'd be happy to mark up screen shots and send some recommendations for other screens which might make this part of operating the M2 a WHOLE lot more obvious.
