single v4 settings
single v4 settings
I just upgraded my M2 to the single v4 extruder. Luckily, it works! I don't really notice a difference yet from the v3, though I'm using the exact same settings. Are there some recommended settings for the v4 to get the best prints at a good speed? I want to take full advantage of this new hardware. Thanks!

I am upgrading to V4 as well; are V3b settings a good starting point then?

So far, there hasn't been a single iota of difference in the extrusion settings between the two, so yeah, it's a good starting point.Rara wrote:I am upgrading to V4 as well; are V3b settings a good starting point then?
What is going to change is any Z-Offset adjustments that you might have made for your previous filaments. You'll be re-setting the Z-stop height and Z-home for the bed.
And since you can go to higher temps on the new nozzle, you can add some fun-tabulous new filaments to play with!
Re: single v4 settings
What are the max temps for the V4 ptfe hotend and the V4 all metal hotend? I did a forum search and couldn't find the numbers and I looked on the MakerGear site and didn't see them there either.Jules wrote:And since you can go to higher temps on the new nozzle,
Re: single v4 settings
Where does one get a v4 extruder? Don't see it on the main site.
