Fan guards
Re: Fan guards
I always run bed cooling fan for petg...and everything else. On 100 percent after first layer . If you are having delamination up your extruder temp and try again. My prints turn out better looking with the fan than without.
Re: Fan guards
I may have to try this again, I'm still tweaking with the PETG, and I do agree, you do get a much better surface finish with fan on it. (Just finished a reprint of a part that i originally did with fan, and the comparison in finish between the two is visible, much to my chagrin. )PcS wrote:I always run bed cooling fan for petg...and everything else. If the wire fan guards don't 100% prevent sticking the M3 hex driver into the fan blades, they do me no good whatsoever!lem wrote:Let me count the number of things that have been dropped into a fan..................

Dale - perhaps whats needed is not better fan guards but some sort of short chain on your hex driver
