3D Printed Quadrotor Maiden flight video. A not so epic Fail

Post by JohnnyRobot » Mon May 26, 2014 6:14 am

My wife and 2 month old daughter were present.

It's a mean looking quadrotor. Wish it would've gone better...

Very cool! Sorry abut your crash... Hopefully, you will be flying again very soon. I am interested in your component choices.

PM sent.

so what is the flight time on a full charge with yours and others? 4 motors i would think would suck a battery dry in no time.

I'm at about 12 minutes with these smaller propellers.

Once I get my larger propellers with more lift, I predict I'll see 15 minutes.

nice work! i only get around 8-9 minutes with my beast of a re-built aeroquad cyclone with a 4S 5AH battery, but the thing has enough lift it could make off with smaller annoying neighbor's pets. what's that? no, the thought never crossed my mind! ;)
