I have played with the esun wood from a sample I got in an order. It seems to print quite nicely but definitely has a more plasticy feel/look to it compared to the hatchbox which as you mentioned is more like wood/cardboard in look and feel. I am very interested in staining pieces and I have to imagine the hatchbox will take the stain easier.Pekish79 wrote:So far hatchbox is my favorite i am priniting today Zen and maybe Esun (or esun tomorrow)

Re: WOOD PLA
So "wood" you say hatchbox is STILL your favorite ? I need to buy another roll and wondered if you found anything better ?
Re: WOOD PLA
I honestly cant recommend the hatchbox enough. I am about to finish the second of my large projects using it and for ease of print , finish , ability to be sanded and final surface ... I can't see anything beating it.PcS wrote:So "wood" you say hatchbox is STILL your favorite ? I need to buy another roll and wondered if you found anything better ?

I have to agree. It has become my favorite filament to work with.Bratag wrote:

Re: WOOD PLA
honestly Hatchbox is the easiest to use the most forgiven has a paperish look quite nice and not plasticky
it's definitely my favorite BUT it's only one color when u work in architecture is more about the color if i want a dark ceiling i cannot use that one or a light floor...
my favorite is hatchbox so far but color-wise i still need to use all the other as well (and i assure you some are really hard to use sigh!)

That's what wood stain is for. Try a little Minwax on it. Just wipe on wipe off. You will not be disappointed I promise.Pekish79 wrote:honestly Hatchbox is the easiest to use the most forgiven has a paperish look quite nice and not plasticky
