I just switched from PLA to ABS and nothing coming thru extr
I have the extruder at 250 and tried to extrude 300 to 400 mm of ABS filament but nothing.
The filament is locked into the hotend so it seems like it has taken it in.
Any suggestions?

Did you run cleaning filament through before you increased the temperature?
Did you reset the Filament Drive Screw tension for the ABS?

Thanks Jules, the screw was extremely loose for some reason.

How high should the fan be when using ABS?
The print is adhering to the hair sprayed bed, but its getting a bit "stringy"

No fan on ABS - it needs to be kept warm.

now it appears that my print is warping a bit. is 110 too hot for the bed possibly?
Re: I just switched from PLA to ABS and nothing coming thru
You can probably go a little cooler on the bed....but it's warping because your ABS is too cold. It's the exact opposite of PLA. Most people print tall ABS prints inside an enclosure to keep it from warping and cracking.wisdomknight wrote:now it appears that my print is warping a bit. is 110 too hot for the bed possibly?

BTW is ABS safe, the fumes? I opened the window because of this.
But its too cool for it unless I close the window behind the printer
