Train tunnels

Post by jimc » Sun May 29, 2016 2:30 pm

I had to model and print 4 of these train tunnels. Mostly modeled in rhino but used a little mesh mixer also. These measure almost 24" x 24". I split them up into 9 seperate pieces, printed, assembled and painted them. These are for a restaurant that has a set of trains running around the ceiling and it goes through a wall, loops around and comes back through another wall. The tunnels trim the openings in the wood paneling. 6kg of black pla+ and about 300hrs to print.

Those look like real stone......fantastic job as usual Jim! :D
(You need to take a couple of shots of the finished train setup when they finish it - sounds like a totally cool idea!)

Jim . Your stuff is incredible. Your ability to recreate organic textures is impressive to say the least.
