Hey everyone!
So I printed this - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:443466 - to monitor my prints via octoprint. However, the way the bed fan came set up, like this:
Makes the bed fan hit the camera and knock it off. Is the fan supposed to be like that (tbh it seems like its pointed to the right of both nozzles when it's in that orientation anyway...) or is it supposed to be like this:
Where it's rotated down to actually aim at the nozzles (and also not hit the camera mount?)
Thanks
Question about bed fan
Re: Question about bed fan
I don't own a duel setup but according to the instructions it looks like your first picture is the correct setup.
As long as it's point at the nozzles though it shouldn't matter how it's setup though.

Re: Question about bed fan
Hm thanks. I'll test print quality both ways to see if there is a difference just because the first way (which like you said looks correct from the instructions) didn't seem to point at the nozzles at all.
Re: Question about bed fan
The first orientation is correct, but i was getting a lot of excess ooze out of the left nozzle with it, so i did a quick rework of the motor fan guard to re-align it.

Ok I like that one!
Compact and pointing at the nozzles. I think I'll print that soon.
Thanks

I also did a fan remount on my dual, with an attempt at a shroud. Combined with my sooper fan, I was able to get very creditable 60 degree overhangs facing away, and 70 degrees facing front.

Re: Question about bed fan
Yet another fan mod. I changed to a pair of 40mm fans for the filament drives and an 80mm fan for the bed - mainly so I can run it slow to keep the fan noise down. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4377
