M3 Unboxing

Post by Ollie » Wed Jul 26, 2017 8:13 pm

Sorry for a very trivial question. M3 is my first 3D printer and I received it today. It is very nicely packaged and perhaps protected more than enough.

My problem is in removing all the protective dark material around and inside the printer frame. I was able to remove several pieces, but the bottom large cushions are not coming out. It doesn't sound right to cut them, but there seems to be no obvious alternative.

Cheers, Ollie

Try using the knob at the top to raise the bed - then remove the foam.

There's also a couple youtube videos that show the unboxing of the M2. It should be pretty similar.

Thanks for rapid replies. I was trying to be as careful as possible and to avoid to use excessive force. In my case, the printer was slightly stuck to the bottom dark foam. By using some force, I was able to lift the printer free.

There's always some trepidation in using excessive force on something you just paid a couple of thousand dollars for, perfectly understandable.

We'll forgive your trivial questions if you'll post a nice report on how the M3 works. . .
