Post by Justinbxr » Wed Mar 27, 2019 6:51 pm

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice on how to load a new rool of filament when in the middle of a print without stopping the print. When i try it jams.

I have only done this, I think twice with my M2. I prepped the end of the running out filament by cutting the end square. I got the new filament ready and as the running out filament got an inch or 2 from the extuder housing, I slid the new piece into the tube and removed the tube from the extrtuder housing so I would have better control of the filament end. As the original descended into the housing I pushed the new in right behind.. took a few seconds get get in in the hole so I ended up with a very slight under extrude for a short time but the part was fine when complete.
