well i have still not had a chance to print with this stuff yet BUT i am running black colorfabb xt in my machine and i have noticed that inside dimensions of holes are a little tight. not sure if its more than abs or not. the only problem with bumping down the multiplier too low is each perimeter will eventually not be stuck to the one beside it. it can only go so low. when i run a new material i will continue to bump the multiplier down until i can see there is a microscopic gap between the lines then turn it back up 2 points and im usually good with that. you can drop it any more than that just to get it to spec. if dimensions need to be accurate and the multiplier is at its lower limit then you gotta scale the model up by 1% to make up for the shrinking.
just an fyi, my second box showed up today with more blue. i checked the roll and it appears to be right on the money.

My magenta a.k.a. "rubine red" came today, and likewise, it's good on dimensions (also a really nice color, much closer to red than pink). The evidence mounts that there was only one bad roll in the whole shipment. The yellow has been printing well for me, and I have the numbers just about dialed in right. However, I've found that this filament tends to be a bit stringy. I put in your (Jim's) numbers which were from, I think, ABS (?), with all the "ooze control" options in S3D turned on and the retraction distance turned up to 2mm. Those settings improved the stringing some, but not completely. What would your recommendation be for a better set of values for the petg?

Hmmm hard saying at the moment since i havent printed it yet. I yave tue xt going now and that is petg as well. That requires almost no ooze control at all. All costing is off, only 1mm retract but i needed the wipe feature on at the default 5mm. Thats is on an e3d though. V3b and v4 are both bound to be different. Ill see if i can finish printing up these parts i have going tonight and guve the new stuff here a try.

For me Jim's settings minimized the stringing. But the coast setting of 2 mm started showing some gaps in the print, so I reduced it to 1mm and the stringing got worse. I'll be posting some pictures of a larger print I did last night in two colors and some of the issues I had in a few minutes.

if your stringing, the retraction is what takes care of that. bump it up a bit. the coasting takes care of the little blob or zits at the start of the line. there is some overlap between the two though as you saw when you reduced the coast. be sure to turn the wipe feature on. i leave that on 5mm with everything...abs, pla, pet, etc. there are no ill effects that i have found from it being on. it only helps.

Ok, I re-printed my airbrush holder in two different colors. There was no issues with layers coming apart or layers warping. However there was some warping of the overall piece as indicated by the arrows below. That being said, I took no precautions in controlling air currents or temperature around the printer. So I can't say if stabilizing those would provide more ideal results. In this case the part is still very useable but not arrow straight as the PLA version I first printed was. Gotta love the colors though!

- Issue #1 was that the this long piece warped. While the individual layers stayed intact. There was an overall curvature of the piece. This particular piece prints at the angle shown in the first picture. I did not have this gap on a PLA version I printed it was super straight.

- This is the other issue I noticed. As the layer gets closer to the main body of the piece there seems to be a thickening of the area. Not sure what would cause that?

that last pic is a new one, lol. never seen anything like that. so is the bottom of that part still completely flat? you should try one without any fan to see if it comes out different. what temp do you have the bed at and adhesive method?

Yes, bottom is completely flat. I'm thinking might be a little bit of an optical illusion due to the angled piece. Will try to get some measurements on it.

yeah it is interesting. i cant see how your nozzle would even go over that without breaking something or skipping steps. on another note....got a good view it looks like of the outside of your house!
