I know the OP already ordered theirs... but figured for everyone else, it's apparently the same internals as the STC-1000 but will read C or F, and is about $1 more than the STC-1000. Otherwise looks exactly the same.

Wish I would have found that. Converting C to F all the time with the STS-1000 is just annoying.
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.

Well, I grew up in Australia, so I can handle Celcius just fine Isn't C easier when dealing with printer related things anyways ? Given most of what we talk about for printer bed/extruder temps are all in C too. Even if I preferred Fahrenheit for my home thermostat, I'd get constantly confused when dealing with printer enclosure temps, ie 60C PET bed vs 80F enclosure vs 90C ABS bed temp, etc.

stop by at IKEA tonight, took 40 minutes for assembling and here is final product, decided to keep power supply out of the box. another question came up, what temp has to be inside the box? don't want to fry electronics and motors.

The power supply is rated to around 50 or 60C so is probably the safest part. The Rambo I couldn't find a good number on. There was a thread about enclosures on here or maybe it was the Google group where someone got random cutouts of the controller is an enclosure got too warm. I recall it wasn't very high, like 40C or so.
I think its accepted you can't just print with the door closed. I have a temp controller and fan now and aim to keep it at 30C with no problems. May experiment one day with if 35C is easier to regulate or prints better.

I just ordered a fan and controller of the Amazon. Still finishing mine up. I've got the fan and the temp controller installed. Still wiring up the LED strips - hoping to get that done this weekend. Will post pics when done.
I think probe placement is dependent upon what you're worried most about. Me personally, it's the RAMBo, so I put the probe on the bottom by the electronics. Since the steppers and the PSU can handle higher temperatures than I'm assuming the RAMBo will, seems like a good enough plan.
I also am hoping that frankly it never gets that warm in there that the fan has to turn on. I used a 120mm fan at the top of the enclosure so natural convection should be enough most of the time.
