Filament broke off below the extruder drive gear

Hello,

I've the older M2 and haven't printed for a while. When I ran a print, I heard the extruder gear slipping against the side of the filament. I stopped the print and reversed the extruder drive to get the filament that I could out. However, moisture broke the filament below the drive gear, and the PEEK insulator is stuck in the extruder mount. There's not much clearance at all to get a knife in there to cut it, so I'm at a loss. I have the older V3 nozzle (barrel type).

Try a razor blade....carefully. (And wear gloves). Those v3b nozzles were a very tight fit.

There is a white plastic ring that sits above the PEEK insulator, which is pressed pretty tight against the extruder housing. I can't slip a knife in there without cutting at it, unfortunately.

I removed the PEEK insulator after cutting the filament. I can see where it has been cut off (at the top of the peek insulator). How should I go about getting rid of this clog?

(Edit) I fixed the problem and it is now working like a charm. Thank you all!
