Duplication mode

Post by rcionni » Sun Mar 18, 2018 6:24 pm

I'm a new user on the M3-ID. Loving it so far when using the Octoprint slicer or the Simplify3d slicer and only using T0. However, when printing in duplication mode the print quality is awful. Uncertain as to why this is as I have installed the newest M3-ID duplication process files, leveled the bed and made certain that the hotends are calibrated to be within the Z distance from the bed required to allow for duplication mode. Does anyone know what I'm missing here?
...and...how do I attach a photo of my prints to this forum post?

Hi

Sorry no help. But i have the same issues. Spend a few hours calibrating. Create a S3D duplication setup and then the see my prints turn in nothing but wasted hours and filament.

I can get it dual print the calibration cube with outproblems but once i add slightly larger stls to print it end really bad. Well i'm going to make a post on that later.

Best

I dont know if you found a solution. ...but I sure did !!

> hold the reset button in for like 10sec, to deactivate the wifi/computer board, wait til it goes red ONLY, green light off, wait for the down chime.

>This actually should be plugged in BEFORE turning the printer on::
use a usb cable going from the RAMBO only (not the small PC box to the side) & the other end into a PC / Mac etc.. of course you'll need the type: "standard A-B usb" cable.

> open simplify 3D & control EVERYTHING from that like the M2 series did.

> also upload the .fff / settings files for profile selection of the M3ID Duplicate... which you already did.

... as soon as I hit print,,,ZERO FLAWS !@@! printed the single object mirrored using both extruders.... you can also print more than one type of object along that thin board dimension.. so long as you know it will print exactly, down the line, whats on that strip mirrored for as many objects as you put on the preview of the bed.
