Re: Corner bulging on 90 degree features in 2019
The overall size of the part doesn't really impact the bulging corners directly. You get the same amount of bulge whether the part is the size of a quarter or the size of a dollar bill. The only caveat to this is depending on your acceleration settings, a large part allows the machine to get to high...

Re: Corner bulging on 90 degree features in 2019
I have a hard time taking pictures, as there is no natural light in my workshop (all LED shop lights) and this time of year the days are quite short. I took this this am in my kitchen with my camera set to "night mode"... I don't believe the corner bulge I'm talking about here is related to the zaxi...

Corner bulging on 90 degree features in 2019
What is the latest and greatest thinking on corner bulging on sharp features? I've been trying to dial the last bit of performance out of my machine, and this corner bulging is about the final thing I'd like to improve. I tried a bunch of different acceleration and jerk settings, as well as fiddled ...

Re: Ninjaflex seems to work in the V4!
So ran a few parts with an Extrusion Multiplier of 100 and with the extrusion width manually cranked down to 0.38 and 0.40. In both cases, the nozzle was clearly dragging in and picking up some material and I got prints that were worse than what I was getting at 0.42. I have to admit, this surprised...

Re: Ninjaflex seems to work in the V4!
I've been dabbling with Ninjaflex this weekend on my M2 with the V4. At first, I had some issues just getting the material started in the hotend, but I found that if I reduced the jog rate in S3D down to 60 mm/min it would push through the extruder all day. Even at 100 mm/min it would just wrap arou...

Re: simplify3d v3.0
I've just completed a pretty major upgrade of my machine. I had a May 2013 vintage machine that I hadn't really touched. I applied the 24V update with new HBP, went to the single v4 hotend, and even spring for the new sheetmetal rambo enclosure. The machine looks really good, although I'm still not ...

Re: The M2 24V upgrade
I'm working through the 24 Volt Upgrade now. I'm going to the V4 hotend at the same time. My machine has the newer rambo board with the automotive style fuse. I sprung for the new metal electronics enclosure too, as I never like the SD card reader retention in the laser cut plastic version. I checke...

Re: Extrusion Multiplier and Extrusion Width
jsc - yes, I always select all and continuous (I've never tried the sequential). In this example, all 4 parts print. The part that was defined by the first process comes out as you would expect, say with walls that are around 0.44 mm thick. The others come out with much thicker walls, some over 1 mm...

Re: Extrusion Multiplier and Extrusion Width
I have one last comment on this, then I'll be done with it here. I reran this with a part sliced as recommended (a solid part with 0 top and bottom layers with 0 infill). Indeed if I run with a single perimeter or with two perimeters, I get the expected results (the measured wall thickness is very n...
