Re: heat bed taking forever, not reaching temp?

2 weeks is perfectly inside the warranty window. Contact MakerGear about it, you should be able to hit over 100C (even if jim says its unnecessary) with a 24v machine. Support is part of the price of the machine -- use it :)

Re: Stop your geared stepped motors from grinding!

Well, relatively harmless means it's shaking the heck out of the M2 and potentially ramming the endstop (which is only an issue with X, the Y endstop has a nylon bump-guard) -- as opposed to slipping teeth on gears or shorting out motor windings, both of which are permanent damage. I can buy a 25-pa...

Just to clarify guys, that hideous noise when the stepper goes too far is just skipped steps, and is relatively harmless.

Re: Rambo replacement recommendation sought

No biggie. Mine was a 1.3 that came from my M2, but I couldn't pull my remap trick since I have dual extruders. I'm sure it'll end up on another printer of mine eventually.

Re: Rambo replacement recommendation sought

If you know how to remap pins.h (and you only have 1 extruder), you can remap E2 to be Y. I only need one extruder. Don't know how to remap, but can follow instructions. Cost & timing = ?? If remap is too far beyond my capabilities, I'll need to go the high-$ route. I dunno, I'd be happy with $50 s...

Re: Rambo replacement recommendation sought

I have a 1.3 with a blown Y channel. If you know how to remap pins.h (and you only have 1 extruder), you can remap E2 to be Y, and I'll get you back in business for cheap.

Failing that, MG will likely get you hooked up.

Re: Stealth mode

Be careful with Noctuas. They're designed for one thing only: to be stupid quiet. They sacrifice a lot of airflow for this.
