Filament recycler worth it?
I recently have failed some prints and think it would be nice to have a machine to turn garbage prints back into filament. So I did a search and found several brands out there. Anyone on this forum has experience with filament recyclers? Does it worth it? And which brand would you recommend? Thanks!

Re: Dripping and curling extruder
You can also clean the exterior of the nozzle ... with the nozzle. Park the heated nozzle about 1mm off the bed and extrude 500mm of filament into it (it's not a huge waste -- you've probably used more filament for a dumber purpose). It will make an enormous blob that buries your hotend's nozzle. N...

Re: ESUN EPC polycarbonte filament
Great! I placed an order for PETG from William at intservo.com and asked him if he could add a little sample of the EPC for me to try. I should be printing it this weekend. I was watching a video about printing regular polycarbonate from another manufacturer and there were complaints about the smel...

Re: bug in Simplify3D?
Unfortunately, the recent (last month or so) update of S3D is a lot more sensitive to errors (non-manifold edges and whatnot) than the earlier version (2.2). They are still de-bugging. So you either have a choice of installing both versions side-by-side on your computer (which is what I've done) an...

I tried to preview print this model in Simplify3D: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:712520, however, I saw broken edges through out the whole print. Any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Question about Z stepper motor
I was hoping there is a mechanism in stepper motors, when there is excessive force applied, it just skips without causing any damage. I did a sample print after that and it seems to be working fine, I'll make sure it won't happen again!
