Re: M2 Z-limit switch bracket broke
Glue it and print a replacement. Check here: https://github.com/MakerGear/M2/blob/ma ... racket.STL Not sure which version you have but this looks similar.

Re: Alternative extruder?
You will need to flash your firmware for reverse extruder direction. See this thread. http://forum.makergear.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=3782&p=33680#p33680 Nothing changes on the mother board. You may need to crimp new connectors for the hot end, fan, and temperature sensor. These are the parts that I...

Re: Alternative extruder?
I upgraded in 2015 to a bondtech bmg extruder with an E3D V6 nozzle. I used a metal motor mount reversed and had to cut the end of the extruder plate to make it work. No extruder slipping problems or wear through now. You might check out the Bondtech QR or LGX. The QR might be a drop in replacement....

Re: Feed Issues
Is your drive gear worn from printing abrasive filament? I had two problems with the original extruder - one when the extruder body cracked and another when the drive gear wore out. I finally chucked the original and installed a bondtech bmg with the steel extruder mount reversed. http://forum.maker...

Re: M2 upgraded to rev G (?) and requires new belt clamp
I modified one of these. I added the larger pad to allow for a a coarse threaded screw to be sunk horizontally to allow adjustment. This was adding the new mount to a gen 1 M2 with a Bondtech extruder and Copperhead. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-fVSFmJC/0/deaaea81/S/i-fVSFmJC-S.png https://dr...

Re: Printed part has bad X-axis shift, generally poor print
I had read that in the eSun specs someplace and on different websites when I started with PETG. I don't use it for anything but mechanical items that need to be strong yet flexible, they are normally simple shapes. I do make a cover for a knife sharpener strop that is a single .8mm wall using the ....

Re: Slice Engineering Copperhead hot end 450C
In progress on a M2 Gen1. I just got the heater cartridge today. I need to flash the firmware for the new thermistor and rerun the hot end wires. The themsitor cartridge comes with a warning card to updrade to Marlin 2.0 or modify the 1.x firmware with lookup table values. A couple of thoughts/obser...

Re: No Heated Bed = Power Connector Fail
Thanks Ed, I appreciate the advice. I inspected the wiring on the extruder earlier this year when the connector failed at the stepper motor. It looks ok but I may take the opportunity to replace it with new wire. The HBP wiring is ok but I've got a new HBP unit that I can swap in just to be safe. I ...

No Heated Bed = Power Connector Fail
M2 Rev D purchased November 2015. Its been in climate controlled workshop or an air conditioned house since that time. The last year I've been printing 20 hrs a day 5 days a week. Primarily PETG with heated bed at 90c. The power connector positive socket has failed in a surprising way. I am looking ...

Re: Printed part has bad X-axis shift, generally poor print
Have you printed this before successfully? I had x axis shifting recently on my M2 while printing PETG. It was due to slightly over extruding and printing without a fan. The print was curling at the edges of the print and blobbing. This was catching the extruder as it went by causing skipping. I bac...
