Re: connect leftover filaments
Hi Doron. It sounds like you have already searched for a solution but have you seen this article ? I don't use enough filament per year to worry about saving the leftovers. Especially with PLA and the moisture it could absorb. I would pay the additional money to get a fresh spool. But I don't know h...

Re: Tool Offset M218
It is in the firmware. What rev M2? I have an M2E Dual and my offset I think was 31.1mm when I looked at it.

Re: PETG bonds to PEI like superglue!
I've seen suggestions online of using Windex or Elmer's glue to weaken the bonding between PEI and PETG but I am reluctant to go down those messy paths I have one of Insta's MIC6 plates with PEI and when printing with eSun's PETg, I use a thin coat of the purple Elmer's "Washable School Glue" stick...

Re: Simplify3D M2 Dual - Single Extruder Issue
I'm not sure how much this will help as I use Slic3r, but I can set an extruder offset. The offset for the second extruder is 31.1mm on the X axis (I forget + or - since it's been a while since I upgraded to dual). I think it's normally handled by the firmware but you may have to compensate for it u...

Re: Accessing Octoprint
You're changing the port so check your /etc/haproxy/haproxy.cfg file. You'll probably have to add the different port there. I'm just using the standard 8080 so this is the binding section from mine: [...] frontend public bind *:80 use_backend webcam if { path_beg /webcam/ } default_backend octoprint...

Re: IDeas/Help designing Stone/brick veneer
OpenSCAD has a Surface function that may be of interest. I just did a quick Google image search for "brick heightmap" Obviously not the ideal map but just as a starting point to give you an idea: surface(file="brick.png", center=true, convexity=5); %translate([0,0,2]) cube([100,100,1], center=true);...

[...]but in octoprint, im assuming the left hottend temp is being displayed, i have no control over the Right Hotend. I'm being Captain Obvious here, but did you set the number of extruders to 2 in the Octoprint printer profile? dual-extuders.PNG You should see both extruders in the Control tab: du...

Re: How Do I Get Rid of fine spider threads between parts?
Try a hair dryer or heat gun. Works a treat on PETg where stringiness is a problem for some prints.Explorer74 wrote:Is there a good way to remove them?

Re: Do I need the bed factory applied Kapton for PLA?
Would you mind describing how you put down the film without bubbles? I can see that you use a piece of dowel rod to stretch out the filament between the roll and the near edge of the jig, but then what do you do to smooth out the film on the glass? The glass gets a spritz of distilled water with a ...

Is the tape necessary for the prints? It's scraped in 3 places right now...Is the tape essential, can we take it off? Consider the tape a consumable. Some people have success with bare glass and some sort of adhesive but I've had many successful prints with the Kapton. I've since switched to one of...
