How hot is too hot for an enclosure?
Hey everybody, I've built a sealed enclosure with the intent of keeping harmful fumes from inundating my office (see "Fume-blocking Enclusure" topic). I've since been working on a plan to add ventilation due to the potential heat build-up. My question is this: what is a safe operating temperature ra...

Re: Fume-blocking Enclosure
Very good-looking enclosure! I'm definitely curious to see how the heat and filtration solutions work out for you.

Re: Fume-blocking Enclosure
I've added temperature logging to my 3d printing enclosure, and it seems like I definitely need some ventilation or some other form of heat dissipation. They're rated at 42CFM each. I based my filter setup off another enclosure filtration design that featu...

Re: Fume-blocking Enclosure
So after some discussion with others, I realized that even with a HEPA filter, I couldn't effectively filter out the ultra fine particles that are the more dangerous at high concentrations. HEPA filters particles down to 300nm, but the ultrafine particles generated by printing in ABS and PLA can les...

Fume-blocking Enclosure
Hello MakerGear community! First time posting here. Just wanted to share the enclosure I built for my printer. After moving into a new house with less ventilation for 3d printing, I wanted to build an enclosure system that focused on reducing fumes/odors/microparticles in my living quarters. First, ...
