Vento,

I'm considering upgrading my M2 with a V4 extruder and BLTouch with the Bondtech QR extruder. When you did it did you also attach a BLTouch? Would you still recommend this upgrade?
I am curious why you want to make the change. What is the driving reason behind it?

Re: Uninterruptable Power Supply for M2?

I have about 5 ups running network gear, computers, audio gear, projector etc.. None on my printer.. if you have frequent short blips, then get something that will keep you going through the blip ... No wave from won't be a issue with that big old power supply on our m2s

Re: Change Startup Order of Probe

I have seen other posts complaining about the need to level the bed every time you print.. I mean with my M2 I level it once year.. You would think they would create the bed matrix and save it to be reused until the user choose to make a new one.. but I guess in the interest of stupid proofing, it i...

Re: PETG profile

This is really not magic, PETG is the same as anything else with a few caveats. It will never look like pla so forget about that. If you don't need heat and UV resistance or flex and strength don't use it. Assuming you are using for the proper reason, heat is as per manufacture, go for 10 to 15 abov...

Re: Mirror mode? How?

I don't have a duel but you can mirror a part in s3d and I assume use 1 process one for each hot end . Did a quick google, did not read this but probably will help you.

Re: M3/M2 Enclosure

You do not need an enclosure with PETG and you should not be using a parts fan with PETG.

Re: M3/M2 Enclosure

An enclosure only needs to be big enough to hold the printer and a small heater if you make 3 sides doors with drop on hinges and the top hinged.. mine sit on a dresser along with a monitor keyboard and pi.. Raising it allows the power supply to be under it.. along with other things.. If the printer...

Re: Heatbreak Barrel Material

Thanks, good to know. I'm not sure where I saw/read/heard that all V4 hotends were all metal. I probably just assumed it because it can get up to 300C, whereas every other PTFE-lined hotend I've come across typically maxes out at 250C before the PTFE degrades. I had the hotend PTFE melt on my other...

Re: Heatbreak Barrel Material

I don't recall ever seeing that part on the site and, I believe they were always made with a tube and max temp is 300C. I have never had an issue with gummed up barrel. I try not use PLA because it does seem to require much more frequent flushing of the hot end with cleaning filament to keep the noz...
